Directors have a special relationship with the artist. Its a specialised post. I not only offer directorship for our written plays but a directorship for all plays the school may like to have a specialised teacher who can give the specified time and attention to.
Acting is a personal and complex learning experience. Its not an academic medium and therefore hard to quantify. But it is quantifiable just o a different level especially inside the educational sector. Finally there is no right or wrong when it comes to acting just true or false

The process is I sit down with your cohort and discuss freely and openly a style, genre, feeling, element and tone to a play that will thoroughly be inpsired at concept stage by your studnets. i then go off and create this image for your students, the producers. I come back periodically and we work some of the scenes i have written in a workshop in order to find out more about them personally, their like and dislikes and create a strong piece of drama that the students can own and perform as a showcase at the end of their time at school.
